First Podium Of Season For Coghlan In Jerez
The second round of the CEV Bukler 2009 series was held last weekend in the circuit of Jerez and the Joe Darcey team and riders were there to give us some great racing. Kev Coghlan, after qualifying on the front row and being fastest in warm-up had high expectations for the race. After not getting a great start Kev was 6th into the first corner but battled through to third by the end of the first lap.
Kev was looking strong to take the fight to Angel Rodriguez, but after a fight with Fores and Bonastre the reigning champion managed to escape once again. Kev managed to break away from the rest of the pack but could not close down Rodrigues. Kev finished second with his first podium of the season with Bonastre in third. Kev already has his sights set on the next race in Valencia in July where he hopes to be challenging for the victory.
