Scott Redding Tests Pons Kalex Moto2 Bike At Almeria

scott-redding-moto2Scott Redding was amongst a selection of riders and teams testing their Moto2 prototypes at Almeria over a two-day test, with weather conditions affecting day one on Monday before a clearer outlook on Tuesday allowed further action on the track.
Czech rider Karel Abraham set the fastest lap of the test on his FTR M210 with a best time of 1’39.0, and the manufacturer confirmed after the test they are in negotiations with a total of six Grand Prix teams and five Spanish Championship teams with a view to FTR Moto being their chosen constructor.

FTR Director Steve Bones stated: “We’ll now get to work on the final 2010 plans and conclude the ongoing negotiations with teams interested in racing the M210 in the World and Spanish Championships and other events that we’ve received enquiries about.”
Stefan Bradl and Vladimir Leonov were also in attendance as they enjoyed their first contact with their Suter MMX bikes. The Viessmann Kiefer Racing pair set best times of 1’41.9 and 1’42.4 respectively.

Promoracing pair Joan Olivé and Kenny Noyes continued work on their Promo-Harris bikes, while Pons Racing were also present as Axel Pons and Sergio Gadea amassed further laps on the Pons Kalex machine with Scott Redding also testing the bike.
