Kent optimistic about race pace, starting British Grand Prix from second row

Red Bull KTM Ajo Factory Racing Team riders will start from good places on Sunday when the season’s sixth Grand Prix is held in Silverstone, Great Britain. Championship leader Sandro Cortese will start from the fourth place of the 5900 meters long circuit and will be joined on the second row by teammate Danny Kent, who qualified fifth in front of his home crowd in very windy and difficult conditions.

Like his teammate Sandro Cortese, Briton Danny Kent was also displeased with the fact that he didn’t benefit of slipstream. However, everything so far shows that he has found once again the right direction. This was also proven in the first fee practice held in wet conditions where Kent was fastest.

Aki Ajo, team boss: “Wind is naturally the same for everyone, but Cortese and Kent both did their fastest laps alone without any slipstream. That might mean tenths of a second in the fourth quarter of the track alone. The time differences became big, but because of this I am not worried about that at all.”

Danny Kent: “I am pleased with the overall situation. I have everything I need for the race.”
