Kent delighted with “best weekend of the season” and now looking for podium challenge

Red Bull KTM Ajo Factory Racing Team´s rider trio made its way to the top ten in the season’s sixth Grand Prix at Silverstone this weekend. Fastest rider of the three was German Sandro Cortese who finished third. His teammates Danny Kent and Arthur Sissis brought home sixth and eighth position, respectively.

Kent made his way up through the ranks and took his best position of the season so far. He finished 8.637 seconds behind the winner, looking strong and keeping calm in a tough battle within a large group.

The championship series continues in less than two weeks at Assen. The riders will have a tough string of work before the summer holiday starts; after Assen there is only one week until the German Grand Prix and another one until the Italian Grand Prix.

Danny Kent: “Absolutely my best weekend of the season. It’s so great that it happened in front of my home crowd.”

Aki Ajo: “Really strong performance and overall result from our riders. I can´t be anything but pleased. Yet another really good weekend from Sissis. His and Kent’s improvements towards the front group were fantastic. Both riders have kept their heads cool and they know how to work. Especially Kent made a clear step forward at Silverstone.”
